Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain youngster Axel Tape on a free transfer this summer, per a new report.

Per RMC Sport, Spurs are interested in signing the 17-year-old from PSG this summer, as are Bayer Leverkusen. A France Under-18 international, the centre-back made his first-team debut for Luis Enrique's side earlier this season in a 4-2 Coupe de France win over lower-league Espaly, but he is said to be aware that he faces a fight to force his way into the first-team and, as a result, is minded to leave the club.

Tape's contract expires in the summer and PSG are resigned to losing him on a free transfer, with Leverkusen and Spurs jostling for position. The Bundesliga side are said to have a head-start in negotiations but Spurs are keen to secure another young talent. He turns 18 in the summer so would be able to move to England immediately if he did decide to join Spurs.
