Leeds United’s season is back on track.

After a big wobble throughout late December and early January that saw the Whites win just two league games in 11 attempts and their promotion hopes come under threat, the Yorkshire club are now back in a commanding position.

Indeed, the Whites are now five points clear of third place with just 12 games to go, but they need to keep winning if they are to reach the Premier League.

United’s next fixture sees them come up against a man who is very familiar with the Elland Road outfit as they face Jonathan Woodgate’s Middlesbrough side.

Leeds beat Boro 4-0 earlier this term, and they’ll be hoping for a repeat performance on Wednesday.

Here’s how we think Marcelo Bielsa’s team will line up for this one.

The first point to make about this XI is that Kiko Casilla is missing his first league game of the season.

Surprisingly, it isn’t poor form or suspension that has seen the Spaniard left out for the first time – it’s an injury.

Indeed, Phil Hay confirmed after Saturday’s game that the goalkeeper injured his hand against Reading. Although it’s yet to be announced how serious that injury is, we’re tipping 19-year-old Illan Meslier to come in for this one.

Another injury further up the pitch has sparked a bit of a reshuffle in the defence.

Stuart Dallas has swapped sides to start at right-back while Ezgjan Alioski has come in on the left side.

The centre-back pairing for this one is Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper.

After Kalvin Phillips went off injured on Saturday, Leeds need a different option in defensive midfield, and we expect Bielsa to do exactly what he did against Reading and move Ben White further forward.

Jack Harrison and Helder Costa remain on the wings, while the trio of Mateusz Klich, Pablo Hernandez and Patrick Bamford all retain their places.
